This RS485 to fiber media converter is also equipped to mount on a DIN rail, making it the perfect device for industrial applications. It also supports an extreme range of operating temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in industrial operating conditions. With plug-and-play functionality the device auto-adapts to whatever Baud Rate, installation is quick and easy, and the converter requires no special configuration. This device has the capability to take 2 power inputs to ensure uptime and reliability, eg. mains power & battery backup power. This media converter uses a terminal block (Phoenix connector) to connect to your RS485/422/232 connections as well as a DB9 serial connector also for RS232. Fiber connections available are a Simplex SC/UPC for the Single Mode version and a Duplex SC connection for the Multi Mode version.
